Big Bang Theory Season 10 Premiere
The Big Bang Theory is a very popular TV series that has been airing for 9 years. It was speculated by many that the show would stop after the 9th season; even the directors and cast thought it would be a good time to end it. However, the premiere of Season 10 has left fans to believe the show won’t be ending anytime soon.
Previously on the Big Bang Theory, Leonard found out that his mother was upset that she wasn’t invited to Leonard and Penny’s wedding. To make it up to her, they decide to recreate the wedding and exchange vows, this time with both their families and friends, as well as Sheldon’s mother, Mary. However Leonard fails to tell his mother Beverly that he is inviting his father Alfred, causing tension between the divorced parents. Meanwhile, Howard receives an email from the U.S. Air Force requesting to meet with his about the quantum vortex apparatus project that he created, causing his to worry about the government taking over the project. Leonard and Penny decide to have a dinner with their friends and family. At the restaurant, Leonard’s dad Alfred shows an interest toward Sheldon’s mom Mary and her Catholic religion. After a while, he asks Mary if she’d like to join him for a nightcap, and she accepts, causing Sheldon to worry that they’ll become a couple.
Season 10 picked up from there with the wedding day of Leonard and Penny. Alfred and Mary return to Leonard and Sheldon’s apartment the next morning, where Sheldon demanded they tell them what happened that night. Alfred assured Sheldon that they simply talked, and that that’s all that happened. Penny’s family arrives in Pasadena for the wedding,. Penny’s mother Susan worries that Leonard’s family, a group of highly educated people, will view her family as “white trash”, especially when they find out that Penny’s brother was in prison for years for cooking and selling crystal meth. Meanwhile, Howard continues to worry about the email he received, and becomes even more anxious when an army colonel calls him and asks to meet with him within the next few days. At the wedding, the bickering between Alfred and Beverly continue, as well as Sheldon’s suspicions about his mom and Alfred, making Penny believe that she and Leonard were right to have eloped the first time instead of having a wedding. Finally, Alfred decides to put an end to all the fighting between him and Beverly by pointing out that despite all the bad that came from their marriage, one good thing did come of it: their son Leonard. From there, Sheldon decided to get up to the altar and say his own vows, declaring that Leonard and Penny are of great importance to him, and that despite their ups and downs, he always considered them his family.
