Over the summer, work began on the William J. Johnston Middle School Building Project. On July 26th, demolition of existing parts of the building began. As seen in the pictures, the center sections of the building, including the library and office have been removed to make way for new construction. The current 7th grade wing and gyms will be renovated, and the 6th and 8th grade wings will be demolished to accommodate new construction. The new construction will be centered around the team oriented learning experience that the Middle School provides. Also, additional parking and athletic fields will be developed. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
