Urgent: Colchester Food Bank Needs YOUR Help!

Calling all students! There is an urgent matter that needs to be addressed: the food bank. Recently our local food bank has been running low on the donations that help support those in need of their services. The food bank, located at the town hall, has given thousands of supplies to families in need of canned goods, feminine hygiene products, everyday items for everyday people.

The Colchester Food Bank is asking for students to help their services by holding food drives or hygiene drives that will help fill the shelves for those who need these everyday items! Not only will you be helping the local families of Colchester, you will be gaining service hours for your resume. Each drive that a student holds has the potential to help hundreds of families. You have a unique opportunity to give back to the community that has supported you throughout your educational careers.

Food drives can be held in a plethora of events. You could hold one at local picnics, parties, any sports games/practices (with a coach’s permission), or just by setting one up in front of any of the local grocery stores. You could also bring supplies to the Town Hall from Monday-Friday. There are so many options to get service hours and give back to those in need.
