Questions with the Queen

Dear Queen,

I hate my dog. Well, really, it’s my stepmom’s dog. It’s a 6 year old Shih Tzu named Clementine and she absolutely abhors me. When they first moved in our house, she would just pee in my room and I was blamed for it because I forgot to close my door. Ever since she and my dad got married, though, that dog has gotten meaner and meaner. It pees all over my stuff and tears up my shoes. I want it gone or at least trained. What should I do?

Dear Demon Dog Owner,

First, you should talk to your stepmom. She is the one responsible for not properly training it. Sit down with her and tell her what the dog has been doing. If she doesn't take action, you should then take matters into your own hands. You should try to get that dog trained. You can do it yourself or you can have it professionally trained. Most vets will have good places to train them. If all else fails, keep your stuff in your room and your door locked. Don’t screw the pooch!

Dear Queen,

I love my best friend but she keeps on making me do things I don’t want to do. She signed me up for a club I don’t want to do and I am really suffering through it. She always gets mad when I don’t do things with her and then we get into a big fight. I don’t want to hurt her feelings and quit, but I hate being there.

Bad Best Friend

Dear Bad Best Friend,

If your best friend was actually your best friend, she would respect your decision to leave the club. A good best friend will always support you through thick and thin. If she gets mad and argues with you about it, she is not your friend, let alone your best friend. You should let go of her and find a new one because that is not what a best friend would do.
