December 10th, 2018 In celebration of recent election results, the Bacon Young Democrats joined political figures at an exclusive party at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. Here they were given the opportunity to dress up and indulge in fancy food in the presence of political elites. The Young Dems had the chance to witness speeches given by governor elect Ned Lamont, former governor Dan Malloy and other elects for different political positions in Connecticut.
Leading up to the event, the Dems prepared by making matching club buttons and reading up on the political elects. Previously during the election, the students participated by phone banking and poll standing in conjunction with the Colchester Democrats. These activities made the progress party a tremendous end to a highly successful election season that the Bacon Young Dems won’t soon forget.
