First Selectman Debate

Monday October 7, 2019— This past Monday Bacon Academy’s Young Democrats, Bacon Academy’s Debate Team and the Colchester Republicans hosted a debate between First Selectman candidates: Mary Bylone and Art Shilosky. This debate was completely student run. Students from the political groups created and asked the candidates questions on how they plan to run Colchester while the debate team members moderated the event. Overall, the debate proved to be very successful in getting community members informed on issues and candidates within Colchester.
